What do you think about Freeza? I'll tell you the truth: HE'S MALE. So, if you thought something else, prepare for a looong Journal Entry... (you can also find a "summary" down there, surrounded by stars)

I'm really SICK of reading "Frieza is a girl", "Frieza is a hermaphrodite" and things like that. I'm a Freeza FanGirl and I'm ready to protect him!

Let's start.
Do you know FUNimation? FUNimation is the company who brought Dragonball to the USA. They are known by many Fans for ruining it.

They've altered the original story (Freeza was using 50% of his power, not 1%),
they've changed characters' names (Hercule? his name is Mr. Satan! / Frieza? No! He's Freeza! / Bulla...? Bra/Bura!)
they've changed techniques' names (what Spirit Bomb??? you mean Genki-Dama!!! / Destructo Disk? No! it's Kienzan!),
they've deleted characters! (did you know Cyborg 17 -or Android 17- appeared in Kid Buu Saga?? He happily forced two men to raise their hands to help Son Gokuu increase the Genki-Dama's power)
and they've ruined characters completely, being "Frieza" the main example.

You may ask "Why do you call him 'Freeza' and not 'Frieza'?"
- Read what I've wrote at the beginning. Freeza/Furiiza is his REAL, ORIGINAL, JAPANESE name, and "Frieza" is something created by FUNimation.

You may ask now "But it's only a letter! What's the problem?"
- No, no, no... Is much more than that!! "Frieza" is the name given to the "ruined ^{by FUNimation}" Freeza! "Frieza" is the name of a male character with a female voice!

A Seiyuu is a voice Actor/Actress.
Did you know what? in the original version, Furiiza/Freeza has a male Seiyuu, Ryuusei Nakao (he made Cooler's voice too and Kuriza's voice in the Japanese version of the Budokai 2 game. Keep reading to know who is Kuriza). Now, did you know what? In the FUNimation dub, "Frieza" has a female Seiyuu, Linda Young. I think her voice is cool, but FOR A FEMALE CHARACTER! NOT A MALE CHARACTER LIKE "FRIEZA"! That's why I don't like to call him "Frieza" anymore! I don't like the way Freeza was ruined by FUNimation and transformed into "Frieza"!
I call him by his original name: Freeza (or Furiiza, if you wish )

Many FUNimation's DBZ watchers think that "Frieza" is a girl or something else, because of the voice FUNimation gave to him! but no. He is a man, and if you are still stuck to the FUNimation dub, please watch a Japanese episode. Here's a fragment of an OVA: [watch it on YouTube]. *Spoilers alert!* This is just to check the Japanese voices! If you have never seen this before, you may want to search for the entire movie instead of watching this part only!
This is an OVA, a side-story movie called "Plan to destroy the Saiya-jins" (there's a game to this OVA, called "Plan to eradicate the Saiya-jins"), and luckily it was never dubbed!

In that fragment you will see the fight between the Z Fighters (Son Gokuu, Son Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta and Trunks) and the "Ghost Warriors" (Freeza, Cooler, Slug and Turles), and you will notice Freeza's voice (male!) and Son Gokuu's voice (female) 0_0

Now, let me show you the facts that prove Freeza is male:

1- For Fans who thought Freeza was a girl:
What made you think that? -His voice? FUNimation's fault. Please, listen to his Jaspanese (ORIGINAL) voice.
-Maybe his lips? He isn't human. That's a characteristic of his race. People don't tell that about Cooler or King Cold, do they?
-The way he acts? First, he likes to be charismatic, even when he is killing oponents. Second, he is a Prince who commands a Galactic Army, he must be polite, that's why he acts as an elegant dude.

Now, think about this: I don't know if it's true, but I heard that (in the Manga) Freeza was originally going to be the ultimate Villain (makes sense, the galactic prince, responsible for the annihilation of the Saiya-jin race, defeated by the Super Saiya-jin who was supposed to be a legend), but the ratings were awesome, that's why Cell's and Majin Buu's stories were added.
You know the way Toriyama-sama treats his female characters in his creations; there are only a few female warriors, and all of them are beautiful girls with no muscles (Juuhachigou/18, Videl, Pan...).
Look at Freeza. That's not the body of a woman. Do you think Toriyama-sama will ever create a woman with muscles and a male voice? Plus, if what I've read is true, do you EVER think Toriyama-sama will have a woman as the ultimate Villain??? C'mon!!!!!!!!!!

2- Now, for the Fans who thought Freeza was something else...:
Freeza is male. He is not a hermaphrodite, and he is not homo. He has a son. YES!!! A CUTE LITTLE SON NAMED KURIZA! He appears in Akira Toriyama's DBZ parody Manga: Neko Majin, more specific, in the part called "Neko Majin Z". He called Freeza "Daddy/Papa"

IMPORTANT!!: If you like shounen-ai couples (boyXboy), that's up to you, the Fans. I just want you to know that the original character is not homo. Understand what I mean? Example: you are a Fan of the couple GokuuXVegeta. You know that in the real story, both have their own family... YOU KNOW THAT THEY ARE NOT HOMO... you see, that's just a "Fan's idea" and not Toriyama's idea.

3- Other questions:
Question: How about considering the possibility of Freeza's race being capable of auto-reproduce?

Answer: "You are the first one who's ever hurt me besides my loving parents" ~ Frieza in FUNimation's episode: Clash of the Super Powers. Ugh, I had to take that phrase from the FUNimation dub, but there it is! See? P A R E N T S, father and mother.



To sum up:
By process of elimination:
Freeza: Girl? No, look at his body. AND, you know how Toriyama's female characters are. AND(2), a girl as a major Villain in DBZ? please... Theory Discarded!
Hermaphrodite? No, he has a son (Kuriza). I've read the testimony of a woman-hermaphrodite, saying that, sadly, she can't have children. Theory Discarded!
Homo? No. He has a son, remember? Theory Discarded!

So, what do you think now?

If you are a Fan of Freeza and want to support him, it would be great if you could add something related with this in your signature or/and in your Journal.

I'll write examples, maybe you can copy and paste one of them into your signature. Modify them if you wish (in a positive way of course):

- A real Fan of Freeza knows the difference between Freeza (Original character) and Frieza (same character, ruined by FUNimation)...

- Did you know his real name is Freeza, not "Frieza"? and that he has got a male Seiyuu (Voice Actor)?

- Freeza is not homo. He has a son named Kuriza. Ask Toriyama!

- Freeza: Girl? No. Look at his body. Hermaphrodite? No. He has a son (Kuriza). Homo? No. He has a son, remember? Freeza is male. If you support him, copy and paste this into your signature!

Bad phrases, I know. But I don't speak English, so please, if you can, make another phrase and make it available for every Freeza Fan to use!
