Yay folks! Did you know about the amazing Hello Kitty MMORPG? I've been playing this game since last year and I'm not tired of it!

As it's name tells, Hello Kitty Online is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game filled with flowers, fluffy things, tenderness and pink sparkly things! I wonder why are so many adults playing then? XD Hello Kitty is for EVERYONE, girls, boys, kids, teens and adults. Yes, I know what you are thinking. That it would be strange for teen guys playing HKO. But no. Many teen guys love Sanrio and their characters, and aren't afraid to admit it. Plus... they have made many FEMALE friends in game... hmmm... hey boys, think about that!

Basic:

So yeah, HKO is currently in Open Beta (a stage that comes before the release of the game). That means everyone who makes an account can play the game. HKO North America's Open Beta is being runned by Aeria Games. Currently, there are people from around the world playing that Beta. All you need is to speak English, so you can talk to everyone. The game follows a story, and you will be able to do quests to solve the mysteries. You have an overall level, which you increase as you level up your other abilities, such as harvesting plants, chopping wood, mining, farming, etc.

In order to complete your quests, you will have to:

• Collect, forge, tailor and cook items; talk to NPC (Non-Playlable Characters), such as Bad Badtz-Maru, My Melody, Keroppi, Pochacco, Dear Daniel and many many more Sanrio's characters, including Hello Kitty herself. The main ones (like Hello Kitty) are trapped in a deep sleep, and you will have to wake them up!;



• travel through famous cities just like London, Paris, Beijing, Tokyo and New York! (last two haven't been opened yet) and fictional places such as Sanrio Harbour and Florapolis;



• fight monsters! Yes! There are cute monsters that will cause troubles to you while doing your missions. From the innocent little Pinbees, to the fierce Pyrodon (a pink dinosaur)... many monsters created to be enemies, BUT WHO CAN ALSO BE YOUR PETS AND HELP YOU IN YOUR ADVENTURE! You will have to equip yourself with the best "weapons" (yeah, a magic wand and trendy clothes XD) to defeat them!



• Talk to other players to receieve and give help. There's a chat feature where you can communicate with people. Players can also form Guilds to form teams. Last year, Guilds were invited to participate in two charity events, called "Food for Friends" and "Helping Hearts". They were very useful; every Guild worked together to make food (Food for Friends - Xmas event) and Clothes (Helping Hearts - Valentine's Day event) so the company creator of the game (Sanrio) transformed them in real money and clothes and donated them to needed people!

The GMs (Game Masters) monitor the game. They are there to help players when they have problems such as glitches or bugs (game not working properly) and people with bad intentions. They also do special fun events to play if you need a rest from questing. Prizes are in-game items you cannot buy in the game (game money, not real money ) or are very difficult to get.

It isn't just another MMORPG, nor is it a "silly kid's game". Is a Social Network where you can meet people from around the world and make new relationships, of course, while doing quests in order to save Sanrio Land from eternal slumber XD!

See, if you are able to complete the first Map (the first zone/level/whatever you call it! lol) before the Beta ends, you will be given special clothes that will give you bonus stats, so you can do your quests more easily. But it will last for five days. I will get a pet card. These monsters surely eat like pigs haha. All we need to get these bonus items is to make a post in a Forum after getting a certain requirement, but I will explain that to you if you want to join. I play this game almost every day (I shouldn't, but it's so addictive! XD) so if you join too I can help you getting started.
